Nutritionists estimate that 70% of us eat such unbalanced diet such that our bodies are in a highly unhealthy acidic state. This unbalanced health situations can be improved by avoiding acid forming foods such as coffee, dairy, alcohol, bread and red meat. A good balanced diet would include drinking two litres of water and eating at least five portions of fruits and vegetables daily. ARE YOU GETTING THE RIGHT BALANCE IN YOUR FOOD?

The acid alkaline balance affect every system in the body. High acidity level put too much stress in the body, sapping energy and forcing the liver to overwork. Foods such as red meat and processed meals are harder to digest. Consequently more acidic bye-products are produced. The kidneys have to work hard to flush out the acidity and toxins. They (body system) use calcium and magnesium from the bones to neutralise these by-products which put people at risk of bone thinning disease osteoporosis.
Long term acidity has been linked to arthritis because it causes inflammation. When acidity is pushed out through the skin it can trigger problems such as spots, bloating, digestive disorders, head ache, tiredness, aches and dark circles under the eyes. Cutting down on acid-forming food and drink could do wonders for your general wellbeing.
Most people don’t know what a balanced diet means. A near perfect balance is 70% alkaline and 30% acid-forming foods. The relationship between acid and alkaline is measured on a pH (potential of hydrogen) scale ranging from one to fourteen. Seven is neutral, below seven is acidic and anything above seven is alkaline. Human bodies function best in a slightly alkaline environment of between seven and eight.

You’re doing really well, you may not even realise it but you’re eating the ideal pH balanced diet -70% alkaline-forming foods and 30% acid-forming ones.
Your diet is at best 50/50.
Adjusting the balance will make all the difference to your health and energy.
